Arctic Blue Death - the next Meg Harris mystery

I feel as if I've just been let out of school for the summer holidays. And in a way I have. I've just sent off my manuscript for the next Meg Harris mystery ARCTIC BLUE DEATH to be released this coming fall. I always feel badly in neglecting my blog, but I'm afraid I'm one of those writers, who when she's in the midst of a book can barely focus on anything else. It seems to consume my life. But oh it's fun writing. I love it! And I loved writing this new book, even the research which took me up to Baffin Island in Canada's far north. I had a wonderful time in Iqaluit and Pangnirtung meeting lots of very friendly and helpful people.

This mystery is about Meg and her father whose plane disappeared in the Arctic when Meg was a young girl. He was never seen again. Thirty-six years later, her mother receives anonymous letters and curious drawings that suggest he survived the crash. Needless to say Meg goes to Baffin Island to try to find the artist of these drawings and learn if he really did survive and if so, why he never returned home. But Meg's search leads her into the world of Inuit art forgery and murder. And soon she is faced with the possibility that the man she knew as her father might never have existed.
